Zack Rogow has written a series of plays about the lives of writers, incorporating the author’s work into the action.
Zack coauthored Colette Uncensored with performer Lorri Holt. See the trailer. The play was performed to a standing ovation at the Salihara Arts Festival in Jakarta, Indonesia in 2023. The original English-language version of the play was revived at the Presidio Theatre in San Francisco in 2022. The play ran at the Canal Café Theatre in London in May 2018. The show was performed for five months at The Marsh in San Francisco and Berkeley in 2016 and 2017. The first staged reading took place at the Millennium Stage at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in 2015. Colette Uncensored was nominated for best solo performance by the Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle and for outstanding solo show by Theatre Bay Area.
La Vie en Noir: The Life and Work of Léopold Sédar Senghor, had a staged reading at the Valdez Theatre Conference in June 2021.

Zack's translation and adaptation of Marcel Pagnol’s classic play Marius ran at the Aurora Theatre in Berkeley, California, in 2005; and at the Storm Theatre in New York City in 2012.
